Step away from the busy streets of Dhaka and discover the living craft traditions of rural Bengal.

This unique day trip combines national history, river travel, traditional pottery, metal craftsmanship and seasonal nature.

The journey begins at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar before continuing toward Nayarhat. After a local lunch, you will travel to Kakran pottery village, where traditional potters continue working with clay using techniques passed through generations.

The journey then continues to Dhamrai, an important centre for traditional brass craftsmanship. Here you can observe artisans at work and learn about one of Bengal’s long-standing metalworking traditions.

The return journey includes a visit to the beautiful campus of Jahangirnagar University, particularly rewarding during the winter migratory bird season.
